Greater Accra regional survey reference pillars for all land surveying projects in the region

• Land survey reference pillars (also known as points of departure) are governmental monuments (concrete pillars) established on the ground with inscriptions/writings always prefixed by SG (meaning Survey of Ghana) and assigned geographical or locational values (coordinates) that are used to initialize and terminate a land surveying project.
• Any accurate land surveying and mapping are supposed to be referenced to at least three of these pillars. These pillars are established by qualified land surveyors and managed by Survey and Mapping Division, Lands Commission.
